The scaba team met over Zoom on 18th October to discuss plans and our membership offer for 2021, and the recent announcement by Kapitol Promotions that the next event in the National Championships will be the Finals in September/October 2021, for which our Region currently has no qualified bands. Minutes of the meeting have been circulated to member bands.
Membership of scaba is now frozen as the ongoing situation with Covid-19 means that we cannot offer any events or services to our members apart from our membership of BBE & Making Music and representation on the London & Southern Counties Regional Committee. All current scaba member bands may remain as members in 2021, and there will be no membership fee in 2021.
The 2021 scaba Spring and Entertainments contests are cancelled and the SCYB residential course, if we are permitted to run it, will be held in the summer instead of at Easter.
