2019 Solo & Quartet Competition

After a year off due to issues with our usual venue, the solo and quartet contest returned to Burgess Hill on 19th January.

Adjudicator David Loftus enjoyed a total of 18 solos and 3 quartets, with a high standard of music making by all performers. Congratulations to all of our prize winners, and special mention to a young star of the future, 6 year old Archie Pannell.

Entries were down on previous years because of the proximity to Christmas holidays, the Butlin’s contest and a few withdrawals due to ill health, however the scaba team felt it was important that this event continues to take place annually. Details for next year’s contest are still to be confirmed but we will endeavour to find a date and location that makes it as easy for people to enter as possible!
